About us
The Zimbabwe Prison Art Craft and Environmental Impact Initiative (Z-PACE) is a registered Trust established to support rehabilitation within Zimbabwe’s correctional facilities through creative enterprise and large-scale environmental action.
Working in collaboration with:
– Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS)
– The Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church
– Government and development partners
– Private sector sponsors and philanthropists
Z-PACE creates pathways for skills development, dignity restoration, and national environmental impact.

Why Z-PACE Exists
OUR PURPOSE
Z-PACE was founded on a simple but powerful belief:
Rehabilitation is most effective when people are given purpose, skills, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to society.
Through structured creative programmes and environmental stewardship, inmates are empowered to:
– Learn marketable skills
– Contribute to national development
– Restore ecosystems
– Prepare for reintegration into society
OUR IMPACT MODEL
Art, Craft & Environmental Sponsorship for National Good. Z-PACE operates through a unique Gift–Sponsor–Gift Archive (GSGA) Auction Model, combining creativity, philanthropy, and legacy building.
1. Prison Art & Craft Programme
Inmates produce high-quality:
- Handcrafted art pieces
- Paintings
- Functional and decorative crafts
These works are curated and presented at a high-level sponsored auction, creating value, dignity, and visibility for prison-based talent.
2. Tree & Environmental Restoration Programme
Z-PACE is driving one of Zimbabwe’s most ambitious environmental goals:
- 30 million trees planted per year
- Trees and plants are donated by partners such as the Forestry Commission and nurseries
- Each tree is sponsored at USD $0.10
Inmates plant and care for the trees, turning rehabilitation into active climate action.

Expansion of prison art and craft programmes
Large-scale tree planting and environmental restoration
Skills training and rehabilitation infrastructure
